Our brand: FLC

Vintage style shift dress

Made out of magazine pager and tin foil

It all started with a technology lesson. Due to my fear of loud, scary cutting machines, I had never excelled in tech before. But that all changed when our teacher gave us our latest assignment: creating products out of recycled materials and giving a presentation to emphasise ethical issues and advertise our product. What did me and my 2 best friends think? FASHION!!!
made out of primark bags!
The dress is wearable!
We decided to create a fashion brand called FLC: Fashion Loving Care. We made several fabulous dresses, some from old curtains/saris and our spectacular final piece from magazines pager and tinfoil! We had loads of fun making dresses, and my friend put together a spectacular presentation. We won a prize, obviously...

We learnt a lot about teamwork, ethical issues (which we are all very passionate about) and obviously sewing and designing. Sewing isn't uncool, its a way of creating beautiful, unique clothes: there's nothing cooler. We would never have thought we could achieve so much in one school term, it just shows what you can do when you put your mind to it!

  1. I absolutely adore your fashion blog Rosie.
First I thought you were going to become an actress...but after reading all this I might just have to kill you if you don't have a career in fashion. Luckily, for you the two can be combined.
Anyway, this is all so amazing Rosie, please do not stop writing!
