Tiered Fringe Dress by Rare**

I used to think of fringing as a fashion mishap, which quite frankly it often is. Dodgy second hand curtains and unflattering over sized tassel-dresses spring to mind. But now I'm realising how great fringing can look, whether on an outfit or accessories. Here are some of my favourite ways to rock this look:

-Referencing a 1920s flapper dress: My favourite fashion era, (Sarah and Laura, this one's for you!) and the toned down versions make great party wear. You can dress literally with the drop-waisted style of the 20s, or modernise it with a body-con version. Keep shoes simple and jewelry to a minimum and let the fringing do the work.

-On loafers/low boots, fringing can look adorable. My friend Tintin rocks her cute, low brown tasselled boots with skinny grey trousers. A fab look.

Office boots. The beads are very
 hippie chic.
I also love loafers with little skirts or dresses for day: my friend bought 3 different coloured versions of their fringed loafers from Topshop last season.

-On a bag: my friend has the cutest low-slung grey bag completely covered in long fringing that I adore. The bags look great worn long across the  body like a satchel, or just hanging down long on your shoulder. As often

with long tassels.
is the case with fringed items, keep the rest of the outfit simple to avoid visual and textural overload!

And on a final note, I want to thank all my readers and followers for their support. i'm now getting over a hundred hits every week! Thanks to you all xxxx

  1. Mentioned again! loving your blog right now.
Just thought your readers might want to check out the Urban outfitters website as their sale is massive, i bought a pair of grey summer-autumn crossover sandals for £10, a retro shirt for £9.99 and a gorgeous black and green vintage watch for £10. Seriously.
A lot of their designer boutique-y stuff is slashed in price, and its all lovely.
